Redesigned. Innovative. Current.

Pink series words are made up of three letters, a consonant, a vowel, and another consonant (c_v_c). Every single vowel in this case is a short sounding vowel such as "a" in "bat." Over the years this system has worked exceedingly well in Montessori classrooms around the world and although many of us can see the results, few understand the mechanics behind this system and how it relates to the developing brain.

As we began work on these series, it quickly became obvious that we wanted to do more. We wanted to offer our clients and the children they work with more than just a list of words that is so often found on the market. Our developers, consultants, writers, even our designers at ETC Montessori took under consideration many of the most recent discoveries on brain research and development. In the next few paragraphs we will attempt to give you a brief look into these findings so that you as a teacher, or a parent, can gain a deeper understanding behind the theory and research that has gone into the development of these items.

The complete continuum.
